Privacy Policy
Hash POS (“the App”) helps retail shops bill customers, track stock, manage khata/udhar, and view shop reports. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used when you use the Android app, the web app, or related Hash POS services hosted at mobile-pos.hashxtech.com.
1. Account and shop data
When you register or run a shop we store:
- Name, email, and password (hashed) for your account
- Optional phone number
- Shop profile (business name, currency, branches, team members)
- Operational records you create: products, prices, stock, sales, customers, suppliers, expenses, installments, and related ledgers
2. Photos and media
If you attach product photos, images are uploaded to our servers so staff can identify products. Camera and photo library access on your device is used only for barcodes/QR scanning and product images.
3. Device and notifications
With your permission, we may store a push notification token (for example Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can deliver sale, stock, or khata alerts. We do not sell device identifiers.
4. AI assistant (“Ask My Shop”)
If AI is enabled for your plan, questions you ask and relevant shop summaries may be sent to our configured AI provider (OpenRouter) to generate answers. Do not paste secrets or personal data that is not needed for the shop question. AI may be disabled by the platform admin.
5. How we use data
- Provide app functionality (billing, inventory, reports, sync)
- Secure your account and prevent abuse
- Improve reliability and support
- Comply with legal obligations when required
We do not sell your shop data to advertisers.
6. Sharing
Data is processed on infrastructure we operate (including Hostinger hosting) and, when AI is enabled, by OpenRouter as a processor for model inference. Payment processors are not currently embedded for in-app plan purchases.
7. Security and retention
Traffic uses HTTPS. Access to shop data is limited to authenticated users of that business (and platform admins for support/operations). We retain data while your account/business is active and for backups/logs needed for integrity. You may request deletion of your account by contacting support.
8. Children’s privacy
Hash POS is intended for business users (typically 18+). It is not directed at children.
9. Your choices
- You can update profile and shop data inside the app
- You can deny camera, photos, or notification permissions on the device
- You can request account or data deletion via email below
